Our First Harvest Host Stay – Century Farms Winery

Lee and I stayed at our first Harvest Host – Century Farms Winery in Jackson, TN (between Nashville and Memphis). Harvest Host is a membership network of Wineries, Breweries, Farms and more that allow you to stay on their properties for the night. They just ask that you make a donation or take a wine tasting. Lee and I never did this with the fifth wheel because we were too long to be accommodated, but now that we are shorter we figured we would give it a shot. We called ahead to make sure Century Farms Winery had a spot for us, which they did. So off we went. It had been raining so they had us park anywhere along the gravel road instead of on the grass. We parked facing the vineyard which was nice.

After we settled in, we went for a wine tasting. I tasted all the sweet wines and fell in love with the Sugar Plum and Blackberry Wine, While Lee tasted the dry wines and enjoyed the Port Wine and Cayuga. We both enjoyed the Mulled Wine, which is hot wine, perfect on a cold day.

Tom, the owner was nice enough to give us a tour of the vats and barrels where they make the wine. Overall, our first experience with Harvest Host was a good one and we will definitely continue to use them for any overnight stays.
